About the Project
Just as The Queen prepares to give her grand speech, she malfunctions and breaks down like your father’s old Chevy. Two Clown Mechanics (Young & Old) are tasked with diagnosing the queen and getting her back up to snuff so she can complete her speech. When the two clowns realize the Queen’s missing part is going to take awhile to replace, they find ways to keep the waiting audience entertained. Little by little they reveal their own complex feelings regarding their Service to the Queen, and we’ll discover that behind the clownish fun and games, there’s a clear and imposing power structure in place. When push comes to shove, the two Clowns will have to make the ultimate choice in order to prove their loyalty.
