About the Project
After the smash holiday hit “ADULT ANNIE”, Zoe Schwartz brings you “ADULT NEWSIES”! An ironic, yet somehow sincere retelling of the classic 1992 film that dives deep into your favorite moments of NEWSIES, while bringing a healthy dose of 2020 cynicism and cultural awareness. Starring a cast of all adults and (hopefully) an ensemble of all female identifying news boys, this production will re-examine the gender roles and classism of Newsies, while keeping you laughing the entire time.
