About the Project
Graphic Novelist Steven T. Seagle brings his Eisner and Ringo nominated collection of comedic graphic essays to life as performed monologues with projected art from the comics. Raised in an America that discouraged nudity, Steve is at loose in a world that keeps undressing him emotionally & physically. In the spirit of David Sedaris and Spalding Grey, Seagle sardonically tours the planet to investigate why Americans stopped getting naked around each other and why many other countries remain much more comfortable in their own skin. Seagle is best known as the co-creator of BEN 10 and BIG HERO 6 and is a 10-time Eisner nominee for his comic books and graphic novels. He is a founding partner of SPEAK THEATER ARTS which nationally toured the original comedy N*W*C for almost a decade and is currently touring the IT GETS BETTER PROJECT. In LA, they presented ARMENIA-MANIA, and, the Los Angeles world premiere of THE LARAMIE PROJECT: 10 YEARS LATER, AN EPILOGUE in association with Gay Men’s Chorus, Los Angeles.
