A perfectly charming piece. Steve has a wonderful Broadway voice, the songs are clever (often with hints of Sondheim, Maltby and Shire.) Great fun meeting all of his characters, so well thought out and executed. A beautiful story of not belonging and finally learning to love and accept ourselves for exactly for who we are. So glad we got to see Steve in action in this tender work. ... full review

This was a grear show! Steve is multitalented and commands the stage, The songs were fantastic and he really embodied all of the characters. Everything was fun, yet it was also balanced with vulnerability and hard hitting honest shares. I was engaged the whole time. The show moved quickly and when it was over I wanted more. Bravo on a great performance and a fantastic show... full review

What an incredible, fun, moving performance where I fell in love with ALL the camp characters. Steve moves effortlessly on stage and you can tell he is having the time of his life. The music was charming, the costume changes really made the characters come to life and I loved the deeper message of self-love and true acceptance of all parts of your identity.... full review

Camp Ginger is a fun, engaging show. Steve Trzaska's characters have their distinctive personalities and though they all seem different, they eventually (over the course of 'summer camp') gain an understanding of one another. Great character work! Steve's original songs are engaging and support the story beautifully. My favorite was the father singing, because I liked the moment and the song itself, and because it was really special hearing Steve singing in the lower tone. It was almost a tease because it gave hints of how much more range he has in his voice beyond what is exhibited in the show. Overall, the 'messages' did not feel forced and the show is a delight! ... full review

Camp Ginger is a fun and unique way of inviting us to learn about the inclusion of others and ourselves just the way we are. Steve is delightful to watch, so talented with his singing voice and character voice work. And the flute! Each character was endearing, which is hard to do, but by the end I even loved the bully. The storyline seems simple, but is actually quite profound as it moves along and the audience learns more about the struggles of accepting oneself in a not so perfect society. ... full review

This is a tale of a child trying to make sense of the world by creating his OWN world. In the beginning, Steve begins unsure of his surroundings and whether or not his many “colors” are acceptable in the world. He ends on a confident note, reminding himself that his many shades of colors are what makes him so unique. ... full review
