What I liked

The music. The plot (which was simple, goofy and still managed to keep me interested). The various goofy characters. The way Spencer always seems to find a unique way to look at things is just astonishing.

What I didn't like

I do think the play felt a little chaotic at times. I’m unsure if that was a technical failure, actors improvising a little too much or what. But there were moments where things almost fell apart and unlike last year, that didn’t seem to be intentional. It’s also possible I just saw a slightly off night. Didn’t stop me enjoying the show at all.

My overall impression

As always, Spencer has brought a goofy, different, interesting show to Fringe and it’s completely worth seeing by anyone of any stripe. Ignore reviews that attempt to dismantle it because in all sincerity, they have no idea what they’re talking about. This is designed to be goofy and have a fun time—and that’s what it accomplishes.
