Twirly’s dancing is fantastic, her singing deeply moving, and her challenges with shoes are surprisingly relatable. Much of the show had a strong classic vaudville influence, tempered by her slightly menacing enthusiasm.
What I didn't like
It’s possible that having a little more of a natural escalation to the flow of the acts might have smoothed out some of the rougher edges – there were a few moments where it seemed like the tech crew was unsure of their cues, and the audience was sometimes at a loss as well – although this also kept the performance feeling unscripted and fresh.
My overall impression
This was a riotous romp through the mind of a clown who shares the general sensibilities of a kindergartener on a sugar high, and every second was a delight!
