What I liked

The honesty. The show’s writer and star was not afraid to lift up the rug to reveal the messier parts of being a tween, teen, and college student, to hilarious and poignant effect. Also, the humor and silliness. This show actually inspired me to try to express to my mom how much she means to me, a moment that brought us both to tears. That wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for this play.

What I didn't like

Some of the dramatic monologue portion of the show lacked the same freshness of writing which is found in the more comedic portions. Having said that, it still brought me to tears. Just a few moments hinged into being a little corny.

My overall impression

The show was funny, honest, original. I laughed many times and I was actually brought to tears. So much fun, and also truly emotionally resonant. An admirable feat for a debut show!
