Margorie Knight is a powerful woman on stage. Every moment on her face is real as her voice mesmerizes and pulls us in with a Bacall drawl. Her journey from woman ‘in the right’ to woman ‘in the absolute wrong’ is riveting. She had me at “Mark Twain.”
The writing was seamless. Montana Cypress is someone I will be watching.
What I didn't like
Because Knight is such a strong actor, it is hard for the ensemble to match her. Even so, notable performances are put in by Kelly Crossley and Omar Salazar.
My overall impression
Full disclosure: I am not a ‘certified reviewer’ because I was slated to see another show, but I arrived too late to get into to it, and rushed over to This Way Yonder. But I’m so glad that I did. I was parked in a one hour parking space (the show is over an hour) and I didn’t care. I thought the play was well worth whatever I’d pay in parking fines.
