What I liked

The actors were all on point. All subplots meshed together very well. The direction of putting two separate scenes on stage at the same time as opposed to separate scenes individually helped tell this story.

What I didn't like

I felt that Ruth’s brother could have been used more in the story. We’re introduced to him with the tension of animosity from Ruth. But we only see him twice in the play.

My overall impression

A solid realistic story about hard working people in a part of the country that deals with devastating natural disasters, and how these people deal with their desperate situation. This Way Yonder is also a family drama that captures the conflicts of interests between older and younger generations.
