Carl gives his story from a first person point of view, using humor, and stories of the travels between conscious and unconscious levels of living on the planet.
What I didn't like
Maybe a flier for the audience that gives Carl’s job descriptions (movie critic, podcast creator, writer, etc, etc) with a definition of narcolepsy – he explains it in his performance, but this would be a kind of “teaser” to draw the participants in the audience into his “focus”- just noticed other presenters provided something like that; could be simple format, 1/2 or 1/4 sheet with s funny quote of his. Maybe he had one, and we missed it. It was on the ad for the show online. But something in your hand when you arrive allows you to keep his name and contact info handy – keeps him “in your mind” even when he’s not in his!
My overall impression
Carl Kozlowski does a great presentation of his struggles with a sleeping disorder that led to many an unintended, yet hilarious adventures. He teaches us what “narcolepsy” is from the inside out, and how it can look from the outside in – from his experience with the sudden “naps” – and bus rides to far out spaces!
