Steven Vlasak, the playwright, the directors, the producers, the cast, and the crew created a charming and hysterical production. And I would say healing and free of shame. I had the privilege of attending the fully nude or "naturist" production in which everyone, including the audience, were required to be disrobed completely in order to see the show. Those whom are germ phobic, don't worry, we were all required to sit on towels, so the seats were protected for further productions. While I have never had body issues, I am thin and hung, though short, yet I have a lot of shame due to early childhood trauma and internalized homophobia even as an out bisexual man. Disrobed was a surprising take on a familiar story of Meet The Parents. The cast has a lot of chemistry and goes all out to make the message resonate....

"Disrobed" was one of the more unusual immersive theatrical experiences I've had. The play is a funny romp about a woman who brings home her fiance' to meet her family.....and he doesn't know that they are all nudists. In order to ingratiate himself to his future in-laws, he has to pretend he is a nudist too, and literally must grin and bear it. Making a typically uncomfortable situation even more excruciating...and hilarious! The script was sharp, the pacing was snappy and the talented cast members had terrific comedic timing! But the most unique and memorable aspect of this show was the fact that the audience was as naked as the cast. Yes, nudity for audience members was mandatory. Well-written, clever and funny comedy about an uptight guy who is surprised to learn - in a rather startling manner - that the woman he is about to marry, and her entire family, are enthusiastic nudists!...
