What I liked

I was lucky enough to go the night that Lauren and Lennon stepped in to perform. Woah. Those two have some serious acting chops. I really appreciated the way this show approached this topic. I feel like most shows end on the downside of this topic and make it sad. This show does the opposite. You leave feeling hopeful and thankful just like the Dr. Seuss quote- “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”

My overall impression

A great story with a great message. When I leave a show thinking about an aspect of life- no matter if it is about friendship, love, social issues, etc.- and I want to do something about it for myself, I feel that is evidence that a story was done or told well. That is exactly how I felt leaving Funeral Potatoes. I also appreciate stories like this because they are a big part of the healing process for audience members who may have gone through similar things. This helped. Thank you.
