What I liked

So much fun to talk to each of the gods and figure out the story as the night when on. I love questing! Divine Combat was a good time too, but was the least of my focuses on the night. I though the design aspects, from costumes to the set in both rooms, was the strong point of the night. I felt as if I had been dropped into a realm not my own and had to figure out who to trust.

What I didn't like

I didn’t really feel any kinship to the other demigods in my pantheon, or to really any of the gods in my pantheon. I wish there had been more of a clan bonding experience in the beginning.

My overall impression

A fun blend of immersive theater, carnival, RPG, and history, Ascend puts you into the shoes of Unnamed Hero and let’s you do what you will with your time among the gods. Playful and fun, the biggest strength comes from the lack of linear structure, giving the audience ample time to gather what story or experience they wish.
