This show is original and unlike anything I’ve experienced within a small venue setting. Through the improvisational skill of the cast along with their ability to play with the audience and seamlessly weave their way through the story, you feel like you are a part of the production as they grab you by the belt and take you along for an extremely fun ride.
What I didn't like
Everything worked. If there was anything wrong with the show, I didn’t see it.
My overall impression
When it comes to experiencing theatre that is immersive, interactive and all-around entertaining, Shakedown at the Dusty Spur! makes a small black box theater in the middle of Los Angeles feel like the center of a classic western comedy through the immense commitment, dedication and talent of the performers: Elisabeth Hower, Liz Morgan, Turner Frankosky, Benji Kaufman, Tommy Fleming and Jason Poston along with the costume design of Erin Colleran and the artistic direction from Joe Desoto.
It was hands-down the most fun I’ve had watching a show in years and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something original, immersive and laugh-out-loud funny.
