What I liked

Kristina’s performance was huge and over the top, but always managed to stay grounded and within her control (in the good way). The direction was focused and smart. I felt like I was in the hands of a capable and confident artistic team when I was watching this show, which is not always the case at the Fringe.

What I didn't like

More a note on the writing than the acting or directing, but I could always do with out a drug scene in something.

I also watched the audience start to wane in the third quarter some, and felt it myself too. The show is pitched so high, and continues to rise in intensity without much of a break, and by the 50-ish minute mark I felt fatigue in the crowd, like we sort of plateaued in a one-note vortex. But then we were all won back by the very intense/powerful indictment-of-the-audience section, and then by the tone shift in the alternative mother coda. By the end if felt like everyone was back on board.

My overall impression

A tight and well-crafted show with a compelling actress at its core. The piece created its own vivid world, and did so just via Kristina speaking and some astute staging.
