What I liked
The performances are thoroughly enjoyable from top to bottom, particularly leading man Peter Fluet as Jordan Maverick himself and Ryan Gowland as the various chiefs. They have an outstanding comic timing that carries even the most preposterous of scenes and motions. Some of the staging was quite humorous, particularly the scenes with the chief, and I love the way the guns were handled throughout.
What I didn't like
It’s a fun concept and a lot of it worked, but it starts to lose steam in the second half. Needed more of a final polish. That said, I laughed my ass off, so…
My overall impression
A fun, absurd, ridiculous, and energetic send-up of action films, inspirational teacher films, buddy cop films, and whatever else sticks to the wall.
