What I liked
Brett’s passion… as expressed through games he’s made up that let’s the audience challenge his encyclopedic knowledge of the game.
What I didn't like
Well… I saw the preview so the only little quibbles I had have, no doubt, been smoothed with a couple runs. But not too much I hope. This isn’t a show that you want to be “slick”. Keeping it real is great.
My overall impression
It’s not about baseball! Well, OK. It IS. BUT it’s just as much about ANY obsession. And we ALL have one, at least. Brett’s particular passion for baseball – and his rather extraordinarily retentive brain – is the jumping off point. But, ultimately, it’s about having something to love and take joy in, even if it’s an overwhelming crazy kind of love.
