What I liked
Murray found a good balance between story and songs – a fun, tight hour with lots of laughs and a story that pulled me in.
What I didn't like
The digital component could be cleaner. Seeing a computer desktop full of icons was a bit distracting. And it would be great if – on nights like when I was there and the audience was wildly enthusiastic – Murray had an encore song prepared, perhaps “The Elements” (all the way through this time), would work great, but there are so many Tom Lehrer songs that are short and funny and delightful. I think an encore would have been well received, and not made the night too long.
My overall impression
What a charming show! I’m a Lehrer fan of many years and I learned a few things.
