What an enjoyable, great one man show. I was expecting the performer, Allan, to sing at the piano with minimal dialogue in between only. He created so much more than that. He also portrayed Tom Lehrer, and even tap danced because the real Tom would take tap classes to stay in shape when he got older. Really a wonderful song and dance man. Very interactive and the audience clapped and sang along at times, a hoot!
What I didn't like
He included plenty of content, but I could have kept watching passed the 1 hour running time.
My overall impression
Allan is a fantastic song and dance man. And a great actor, he really kept the audience engaged, and the show has many moving moments. I’m not a theatre person, but I loved this, it was like watching a movie and a concert of comical songs.
I’m not as familiar with Lehrer as I should be BUT I do like "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and I totally got that so much his story took place in the same time period.
