What I liked
Great music! Allan actually looked like Tom, too, which made his performance much more authentic.
What I didn't like
A/C in the theater. Loved seeing a packed house, but it got a little hot.
My overall impression
It was Friday the 13th. Imagine if you will…at a small venue in the big city of Los Angeles, a group of locals and some awesome dude who flew in from Wisconsin gathered for an hour of fun as the delightfully talented Allan Murray paid tribute to the one and only Tom Lehrer! I thoroughly enjoyed Allan’s musical homage to Tom; from Pigeons in the Park (my favorite) to Vatican Rag and everything in between, Allan did a spectacular job highlighting the career of the mathematician-turned-musical genius through song on the piano, along with some clever tap dancing too! Bravo!
