Review by SPENCER FRANKEBERGER

What I liked

The performance of Hallie is such a stand out that I actually wanted to root for his character even though he’s not a “nice” guy. The secretive elements of the show and discovering what this type of meeting would be like were fun and cool.

What I didn't like

The story is a little uneven: most specifically it is more heavy-handed in the beginning with one or two characters and then shifts to a more ensemble-style element in the second half that doesn’t allow us to dive as deeply into the rest of the characters as the first half did, in the sense that some of the ensemble is featured more heavily than others, and I want to hear some of the other characters’ stories of how they become what they are, what it feels like for them, and what the future holds for them.

My overall impression

I don’t want to give too much away, but the show is a unique experience that is ultimately hard to describe. Some elements of humor and some of suspense really help guide the story. Not to mention the performance of Hallie which is a stand-out in every way and is it worth the price of admission just to see his scenes in the first half of the show.
