What I liked
The simple use of props and lack of any set design provided an intimacy to the show but a tad more would have helped evoke the extravagance of the Restoration period.
What I didn't like
More dynamism would have helped fill out the enormous stage and given a bit of an arc to Gwyn’s rise from poverty and obscurity to the king’s bedchamber.
My overall impression
Fun re-telling of Nell Gwyn’s life story in the context of changing historical times. Well written in iambic pentameter.
