What I liked
The dance flashbacks were pretty! The fight choreography was fun and silly, and was achieved confidently. Many props go to the shadow actors — the fights, the lifts, the movement of the set pieces all enhanced the feel of the show, and their work felt integral to the overall success of the production. The tongue-in-cheek quality combined with clever staging was very effective.
What I didn't like
The costume design was fun, but I almost wish they had been a bit more strategic with the kitsch.
My overall impression
I always enjoy a well-executed mash-up of genres! I was able to enjoy comic book superhero fantasy, romcom, sci-fi, action, dance, mystery and zombies. There’s a bit of something for everyone!
