What I liked

It leaves you wanting more.
The stage combat is both exhilarating and, at times, hilarious!
A full melting pot of emotions from start to finish — great laughs coupled with genuine investment in these characters.
Nothing felt TOO campy, which can be he slippery slope for superheroes onstage.

What I didn't like

On a writing level, the show is funny enough without a couple needless jokes tossed into the most dramatically meaty part of the play. A “tomato, to-mah-toe” joke in the semifinal scene, for example, took away from some of the important information of the dialogue for me.
Careful for areas of fluff, like that. That being said; there weren’t super many.

My overall impression

This show encapsulates all the best parts of Stan Lee’s storytelling vision. Lee once said: “Just because you have superpowers, that doesn’t mean your love life would be perfect. I don’t think superpowers automatically means there won’t be any personality problems, family problems or even money problems. I just tried to write characters who are human beings who also have superpowers.”
While there’s isn’t time spent on familial or fiscal aspects of these characters’ lives, the fantastically dynamic, interpersonal story that Greg Crafts has fashioned with these (literally) colorful and wonderfully diverse characters REALLY hits the mark.
