I really loved the varied emotions that run throughout the play. From the intensity of Coppola to the nervous passion of George to the blatant disrespect and disregard of George by George Sr., George. runs the gamut of emotions and allows you to feel empathy for the man behind the Star Wars universe. The actors all did a great job of conveying these emotions, some subtly, some loudly. The humor sprinkled along the way was refreshing and intelligent.
What I didn't like
Perhaps have Scorsese give his name. Not sure everyone will know who he is supposed to be.
My overall impression
Having been a longtime Star Wars fan, I enjoyed seeing George.and learning more about the man behind the phenomenon. I would recommend this as required viewing for any fan of Star Wars.
Intelligent, thoughtful and witty writing.
Evocative, playful and passionate acting.
Smooth and creative transitions.
Beautiful and unique set posters.
Sublime soundtrack that you knew was there but didn’t detract from what was happening on stage.
All of the above were successful due to the artistic directing.
