What I liked
I loved the many elements that Heather was able to bring – comedy, drama, and complete transformation. I loved her acting ability, the way that she could dissolve completely, to then reveal those characters who needed to come alive to tell us the story.
What I didn't like
I was left wanting more. I would have loved another act. It felt complete, but it was just so good that I wondered where else she could go. There was one sfx that I didn’t think was necessary, but other than that I was so focused on the performance I didn’t notice much else.
My overall impression
Truly captivating performance. Heather brings us through the heartbreak of knowing our parents can never be who we want them to be. Yet she embraces her reality, and showcases it in such a way that I was left with hope, and yearning for more. I sat there completely mesmerized, my hands holding my face, tears streaming constantly. I was moved.
