What I liked

Heather’s ability to perform stand-up, solo monologue, and a portrayal of her ailing father brings a kind of clarity to her emotional and psychological situation that one mode of address alone wouldn’t do justice. The humor is funny, the hurt is painful, and the pace provides just the right amount of experience before releasing the audience to consider what they’ve seen.

What I didn't like

It may have been nice to get a better sense of what motivates Heather’s dedication to her relationship with her father, but with the information we’re provided, one gets a sense that Heather appreciates some of the way she was raised, even if it’s difficult to pin down which aspects.

My overall impression

A thoughtful and balanced three-part structure allows Heather to demonstrate a wide range of talents; a heartfelt but sober reflection on a frayed relationship that leaves room for hope and reconciliation.
