What I liked

Finally, she stands up to her mom and a horrible fight breaks out between them. It was a very dramatic and surprising moment in the play, I don’t want to ruin it for anyone, but it was great. It’s a play that opens your eyes to a different way of life and probably will make you grateful for the upbringing you had.

What I didn't like

Just don’t let people in after the play starts LOL

My overall impression

I loved this play although it made me sad for the main character, Jin Hi. She idolizes her father, but he couldn’t care less about her. Her mother is mean and is always calling her stupid and useless. She tries hard to be a good daughter, but the bar is impossibly high. She never gets credit for all the things she does correctly, and she feels isolated and alone. It’s not just normal teenage angst, she is completely controlled by her overbearing mom and the Korean culture. School sucks, home life sucks, she doesn’t have any friends or other family to hang out with.
