Joyful, funny, melancholic, and rapid fire; the show is great for teens and above, punks young and old, and the people who love them. It was the first show I have seen that utilized deaf performers and, of course, American Sign Language. This gave it depth and dimension. Yes, it is germane to the story but it also made me consider how other plays might benefit from the same. Glad to have seen it!
What I didn't like
It is a lot to pack in to an hour, and the show might benefit by adding time so that the high and low moments would have a beat, or even some elaboration.
My overall impression
My daughter and I both greatly enjoyed the show. Utterly relatable, even if the circumstances of the memoir are one of a kind.
