The use of music and photography were vital to the show.
What I didn't like
I would love to see more of the narration fleshed out into dramatic scenes. Tough on this scale but his story is so rich with dramatic potential drama that Iwould like to see him mine more of it on stage
My overall impression
“I wanted to get to people, to get to the beating human heart. I wanted to make something happen.” – Justin Maurer
Go see one of the last two performances of Falling On Deaf Eyes this weekend. It’s a high-energy, punk rock-fueled tale of the powerful bond between mother and son. Justin’s light-hearted take on his struggle to navigate the challenges of growing up and becoming a man while acting as the interpreter and lifeline for his deaf single-mother is sure to entertain and move you.
