What I liked
This show brought me to tears when I first saw signing and speaking at the same time on stage. It was overwhelming, powerful, and packs a hefty punch. I loved seeing both the hearing audience and deaf audience respond in various ways to something so beautiful and captivating on stage.
What I didn't like
The show is a little loose in terms of transitions and could use a couple of extra screws to tighten up.
My overall impression
Endearing and heartfelt, Maurer paints a picture of his childhood growing up and teaches those of us who are hearing in the audience how to navigate any obstacle life throws your way.
