There is a convention that is used with laundry which is really lovely, clever, resonant and effective. I loved the simplicity of the production, allowing the words to be heard and the actors to paint the pictures for us — there was a real palpable sense of place and environment which I appreciated.
What I didn't like
I went to the preview. As new work sometimes goes, the opening needed a little polish, but the actors, all of them, are really charming and lovely.
My overall impression
This is a cleverly presented, seemingly simple (but powerful) story, beautifully adapted and played by some really talented actors.
