The performers were all strong and had clearly established chemistry, despite there being so many. And the show went exactly how a good variety show should- it kept the laughs coming, no sketches overstayed their welcome, and there was something for every sensibility. Definitely has some vibes of In Living Color and early SNL, but with more of a satirical edge. The best bits skewered wokeness and our general conversations about race, getting a few gasps from the audience before the big punchlines.
What I didn't like
There were some early issues with the microphone.
My overall impression
Great blend of sketch comedy, stand-up, and music performed by a talented mix of actors, speaking to our cultural moment while staying delightfully silly.
