Using a minimalist set to keep the focus firmly on the actors, The Same Room brings you quickly into a Twilight Zone type situation and keeps its foot on the gas, never slowing down until the end. With such a contained piece, you need a sharp script and strong actors to carry the load, and luckily they have both. It’s completely bizarre, emotionally relatable, and surprising in the best ways.
What I didn't like
Not much.
My overall impression
A gripping update of No Exit that replaces the existential questioning with a strong emotional core, anchored by two fantastic performances.
