Glennis has a very natural way about her, and not once did I feel like she was trying to force an emotion or character action.
The redone lyrics were very clever. I also really appreciated the use of chalk on the cave walls. Not only was it simply a neat creative choice, but it really highlighted our main character’s addled nature.
What I didn't like
I was very sleepy when I watched this show. I wish I wasn’t so sleepy. That would have been nice.
My overall impression
A one-woman show featuring re-lyriced songs, this piece is able to unearth some truly harrowing pain without succumbing to the usual solo show trap of feeling like staged therapy.
