What I liked

Ferree and Center are dazzling, with a built-in chemistry that really crackles from beginning to end. They overplay nothing and find all the right notes to really make their characters come alive in believable and authentic ways. Ferree’s combination of bravado and vulnerability, and Center’s raw emotion take over when the text itself is a little unwieldy. I now have severe talent crushes on both of these actors.

What I didn't like

I could have done with fewer and faster scene changes. The scenes are so alive that the blackouts slow down the pace and add unnecessary length to an already lengthy piece.

My overall impression

A fantastically engaging two-hander about the price of fame and the depths to which we’ll sink to achieve it. Featuring two dynamic and powerhouse performances by Jake Ferree and Melissa Center, “Sex with Strangers” is constantly defying your expectations.
