Wow. Immersive, intense, oddly humorous. Accurately described as a fever dream and you are immediately transported into darkness both literally and figuratively. Seriously recommend! ... full review

What a tight pieces of unique storytelling. These actors such a strong and enveloping tale. At times I felt we were all there in the mine with them, with the weight of the earth pushing us all down. This is was brutal journey into hell and back with a cast of extremely strong actors.... full review

A wild ride of twists and turns that leaves you falling in love with these wild characters. It felt as if we were in the coal mine with them and within that heightened reality, it was hard to escape the complicated feelings of empathizing with them and the US current dependence on coal. This is truly a relevant and important work for us all to see. And you'll enjoy it:) ... full review

What an absolute rush. Heightened poetry drawn from miner colloquialisms crash against the weaponization of classic country music in a deeply uncomfortable piece. At times, I forgave myself for following the eyeline of the actors in seeing the barely-resolved dangers of the caved-in coal mine, staged in an otherwise unassuming dance studio at Thymele Arts. One wouldn't think the comfort of fluorescent lights and the promise of safety in relatively familiar circumstances would be so sorely missed, but as promised, immediately after a significant playlist, we find ourselves plunged into a hauntingly intimate story. This piece is dangerous, and it will stay with you.... full review

I thought a collapsed coal mine would feel claustrophobic, but under this mine is a whole other world of dark stuff to be uncovered, and I'm not talking about the coal! Immersive and addictive, as the show plunges into the darkness, further and further and further... Once the lights go down, you're down there with these men from the beginning; it's an atmosphere filled with an incomprehensible amount of personalities all placed in a dire situation, and everything that happens thereon is full-priced theatre! Highly recommended! ... full review

This is hands down one of the best things I've seen at Fringe this year. Different, compelling, beautiful in its design and execution. I was literally blown away by the experience and I've told everyone I know to see it before it's gone.... full review

Great bold choices made for setting (complete dark with some lights) and intricate story line with large crescendo. ... full review
