Incredibly fun and inventive show about fan fiction, goths v. preps, and growing up in a world where you don't fit in. Everyone involved—writers, director, actors—exemplifies creative freedom and fun.... full review

A clever, geeked out romp through wizarding fan fiction that is actually a front for a potent tale about awkward adolescence and finding your voice.... full review

This was a hilarious show with great writing and excellent performances. Writers Adam Cash, Drew Petriello, and the entire cast use the excellent concept to deliver a fantastic evening of theater that is as funny as it is ultimately moving. ... full review

THE PLAYWRIGHTS ARE POSERS, GOTHS FOR LIFE (& death). This play was rad as hell, incredibly well crafted and acted. Also any time a play can take place in a single room effectively is a hella good play in my book. Well done to everyone involved!... full review

This show was painful to watch. Wait, let me explain. This is a good thing because pain is literally the coolest thing an Emo kid could ask for (it’s Goth-Speak for “really forking great”). I had actual flashbacks to Jack Skellington hoodies and shoelace belts. I looked down at my hands and suddenly I was wearing black nail polish and holding a T-mobile Sidekick. This show is FULL of hilarious, all-too-familiar references to everything your mid-00s emo self would die for. Get it? Because dying is cool. RAWRR XD... full review

In revealing the earnestness beneath the apparent absurdity of two highly disparaged pop culture communities (fan fiction and goth 'culture'), 'Sunbathe in Darkness' is able to both lampoon and elevate its subject matter, using the desire to laugh as a way to disarm the audience while delivering a powerful and contrasting moment of trauma.... full review
