What I liked

I was a major fan of all of the creative design aspects throughout the show, and the direct involvement of the production crew with the set pieces. I was very impressed with the evocative display of the forest fire that destroyed the camp. It is always not easy representing such a tragic disaster onstage, but in this case, it played out beautifully. I also enjoyed the creative sexual innuendo nonchalantly played out onstage, which I found to be a critical component of the nonsensical world being created that every character seemed to buy in to. It was even more empowering with the energized performances of each of the actors onstage.

What I didn't like

I will admit that I thought the tea bag costume was a giant rock or a dirty marshmallow at first. I didn’t realize it was a surrealistic daydream of an animated tea bag until a good 30 seconds in. I also would have loved to see more of the bear onstage. I thought that he was sorely underutilized, though I do understand that 90 minutes only leaves room for so much time.

My overall impression

An beautifully established farce brought about by a vibrant cast of characters that will not let you alone for two minutes. You will be on the edge of your seat the entire time! This is a show that is definitely worth every dollar spent at the box office. The passion, sweat and efforts put into the each month of rehearsals clearly shows itself onstage in full view. The Attic Collective definitely lives up to its mission statement: “We create theatre for everyone.”
