What I liked

The quick wit of the actors and the writing. The incredible set and production design.

What I didn't like

Usually the out there type farce is not my cup of tea. There were a couple of things that were lost on me in the name of symbolism. Nothing that took away from my overall enjoyment of this show however.

My overall impression

The Last Croissant is a quick witted, funny, and charming show from The Attic Collective. A few years ago when I saw director Rosie Glen-Lambert’s previous show “Dead Dogs Bone” I walked out and told people “She is the most inventive director I’ve seen in the entire of the 2015 Fringe Festival” After seeing The Last Croissant I can say that she and her theater company have continued to raise their game. This is a crazy farce set at a campground with funny characters and set pieces that keep the action moving the whole time. There are a couple things that as I walked out I said “wait…how did they do that??” The dialog is extremely quick and funny and the timing of the ensemble cast is spot on. Highly recommended show from this young theater company. I look forward to seeing what they give us in the future.
