The slice of life piece that doesn’t aim to please and doesn’t aim to be showy. It just is and tells the story it wants to tell, and the performers are very good at bringing the story to life.
What I didn't like
Some of the blackouts happened so quickly after the scenes started that it, at first, felt a little jarring and became smoother when the blackouts were fewer and far between.
My overall impression
A refreshing break from all the shows that scream ‘FRINGE,’ “Under the Table and Dreaming” is an earnest, nostalgic look at the “what ifs” in life that we all face at one point or another and takes us on a tailspin adventure diving deeper into the meaning of the “what ifs” as the show progresses.
