What I liked
The performances by the two lead actors were a thing of beauty and carried this wonderful story from scene to scene with such deep commitment for the material; it felt as though they really inhabited the skin of the characters they were playing — and the supporting cast was equally strong.
What I didn't like
If I could suggest any improvements, it would be for the show to be given a bigger venue and more money from an entrepreneurial producer to give this the lavish treatment that it deserves!
My overall impression
UNDER THE TABLE and dreaming is a gem of a play, full of romance, high stakes, and the splendor of human connection. I laughed, I cried, I was overjoyed at what they did with this small, intimate story that captured the sweep of LIFE.
