What I liked

This show lives or dies on its casting of Oscar, and Jordan Mitchell-Love is OUTSTANDING. Both his physical and vocal mannerisms do so much for the believability of Oscar, in and out of the spotlight. Allie Costa brings an infectious enthusiasm to Margaret that makes her immensely likable from the drop, and Adam Foster Ballard steals the scene every time he appears, no matter the character he’s in at the time.

What I didn't like

I know it was just previews, so there’s time to fix this, but the sound levels were all over the place. Part of the issue is that some of the actors were miced up, but not all. Significant amounts of dialogue were lost.

My overall impression

This was a delightful show. Fun, well-paced, and impressively choreographed, with a good cast and and a story that clicked nicely and moved at a solid pace.
