A fantastical and unique twist in the classic bully vs. nerd dynamic. The music managed enough variety to be interesting while keeping a theme that tied the story together. I really enjoyed it.... full review

Despite the serious topic, the musical was fun, catchy, hilarious, and constructive. Even worth seeing more than once. The jokes, music, message, and choreography all worked. ... full review

I loved the lightheartedness of the whole performance! Everyone had an amazing voice and it was truly a delight. I wish the songs were available somewhere to listen to them because they’re still stuck in my head!... full review

It's an adorable, funny, sweet, tender, moving treatment of a timely and timeless problem. The music is catchy and filled with tight harmonies sung beautifully by a talented ensemble. Crisply-paced and mined for every bit of humanity and humor in the book. Michael Gordon Shapiro has written a show with legs.... full review

THE BULLY PROBLEM is non-stop fun, with a large young cast dancing, singing and battling -- nerds vs bullies. It's pure delight to see a theatr musical with such wonderful choreography and abstract staging that also dramatizes an important message that touches all humans and (in these dreary days of conflict) gives us an inspiring evening of upbeat antics. Cheers to Mike Shapiro!... full review

OMG I LOOOOVED this show! If you want to see it- buy your tickets in advance cause it WILL sell out. It was oversold the night I went to see it (and I’m SO glad I saw it). It reminds me a lot of Big Hero 6 so the storyline didn’t exactly knock it out of the park in the originality department but enough about it was original and clever and cute and it was really well done and really well produced. It has a strong cast and great songs. The director deserves an award for sure!... full review

Fun and uplifting! The jokes, nerdy references, and music were all great. The cast was fantastic, as well. As a "JIT" alum, I strongly endorse this musical and I hope to see it again!... full review

Shapiro has the makings of a musical charmer that should play well in youth-oriented theaters, but it can still entertain older audiences. Deepening the characters, particularly the bullies, would add a resonance that could take the show to the next level. ... full review
