Misty Lee is wonderful as Princess Magic, spinning out jokes and physical comedy faster than she can chain smoke a pack of cigarettes. The setting of a children’s party is fantastic, and I loved the talent that she brings on for half baked but thoroughly funny acts. The beauty in this piece is it’s polished roughness; it only seems unfinished because it’s rehearsed to the T to be that way. The balloon worm joke was f**king amazing.
What I didn't like
More tricks! I love the banter, but I wanted to see more of the actual magic.
My overall impression
A hilarious dumpster-fire-turned-Fringe-show, which is all we can really ask for from Fringe. This is magic unlike you’ve ever seen, stripped down the the tricks without any of the pizzazz and all of the bravada. Misty Lee gives a performance that is both hard to watch and hard to look away from, committing so hard that you’ll wonder who is actually the weird one, you or her.
