As a 20-something who doesn’t want kids, I was so touched by the scene in which SPOILERALERT Jenny’s neighbor (I believe her name is Gloria) tells Jenny about how her daughter never wanted kids and doesn’t need them to feel fulfilled. People who don’t want kids are often so misunderstood and judged and so seeing this sweet, endearing scene touched me profoundly.

My overall impression
Heather takes an often taboo subject that no one ever talks about and places it front and center. She is at ease on the stage and has no problem switching between characters. Heather has this maternal nature that makes you wanna run on stage and give her a big ol’ hug! Also, I’ve never seen a solo show without a narrator that appears throughout the show and so I thought Heather’s decision to not have one was really cool, unique, and makes her show stand out. I had such a great time watching this show and not one time did I want it to be over. Watch this show for a masterclass of how to make a solo show.
