What I liked
the multiple characters all delivered by the sole performer works really well.
Subtle but important sound design really added something.
One woman on a blank stage discussing her fertility and how she feels about it would have been way less entertaining and informative – but this mix of voices and perspectives keeps it interesting.
What I didn't like
More sound design would help I think – what is there, as minimalist as can be, works great, so I think more of this would be an improvement.
My overall impression
Impressive performance in deep detail on a highly personal and emotional topic, one rarely discussed. The Writer Performer interviewed many people on this topic and compiled their stories and decision making into this show, which covers much more than one person’s journey.
