The whole cast is fantastic, but the ensemble really brought everything together for me, they each tackle a handful of characters and bring the comedy and absurdism to just the right level.
What I didn't like
The play wrapped up so cleanly, and I don’t know if it needed to in every direction. I wouldn’t have minded to walk away and say to myself “what happened to this character” – that being said, it’s not a big issue or anything, but perhaps something to think about…
My overall impression
Holiday Kinard’s new work is hysterical and timely. Using just enough absurdism to talk about our political system, Lincoln2020 was so on point, fun. I left talking about it, about the state of the world, and that’s what good theatre does.
