About the Project
It has been many years since the Gomez family have gotten together. Why should they? The concepts of family and unity were never part of their identity. But now Maria Cristina, the oldest sister; the twin sisters, Jimena and Mercedes; Pedro Junior, the only man in the family; and Sara, the youngest Gomez, will have to gather together upon news that their mum, Juana, is suffering from dementia. They will have to solve the vital question: What shall we do with mum? A pretty easy puzzle to solve but this dysfunctional family has a past over-loaded with hate, regret and frustration. Between an absent, Don Juan father and an oppressive and tyrannical mother, their children were raised … as best they could. They are siblings because they were born from the same mother but in reality they are random people that have simply known each other since they were little. Now they are forced to live together under the same roof with an ill-mannered mother who keeps losing her mind and her ability to control her bladder and sphincter. For the first time ever, they must make a decision as a family. The solution comes from Maria Cristina: they have to kill mum!
