Thoroughly enjoyed the show and Dagmar's performance was stunning. Her ability to transform us to her childhood and relationship with her mother are so memorable and deeply personal. And the theme of understanding and forgiveness are powerful. ... full review

The play was very well thought out and performed quite nicely. It touched on many subjects that are not discussed too often in a public forum, yet, those subjects are as real as our existence.... full review

Dagmar is a brilliant storyteller. I kept thinking the word “poetic” as she spoke and danced and laughed and told us about herself and her family. She’s a true artist, one-of-a-kind, an original. The world is a better place with her in it. Go hear her story!... full review

A beautifully crafted story that shares one woman's journey from her homeland of Czechoslovakia to the United States, and how it affected her and her relationship with her parents (especially her mother). Dagmar's story is a wonderful metaphor of how generational differences define who we are, no matter how much we try to run from them. ... full review

Dagmar Stansova achieves something extraordinary in her one-woman show, Loose Underwear. In a sensitive yet entertaining way she explains how she found strength and happiness as the daughter of a Holocaust survivor. In her youth, music was her refuge, as she sang Jewish songs and danced joyfully to James Brown records. She speaks of impassioned talks with her mother and enchanting memories of her grandmother. She recalls romantic relationships from her adult years, while the soft strains of an Al Green tune play for us in the theater. She remembers moments luminous with poetry, like the time a group of brightly-lit children resembled “a room of little suns.” ... full review
